Today we hit the road and headed to the National Zoo. I'm not sure if the kids enjoyed the metro ride or the zoo more! The day was so much fun. Silas and Micah's favorite "animal" was definitely the exhibit that was being redone and was filled with diggers and dump trucks. All of the kids enjoyed the little playground that was at the prairie dog exhibit - it was lots of tunnels the kids could climp through just like the praire dog. Grammie bought all the kids matching t-shirts - so we looked like a pre-school hit the zoo.
The only bad part about this day was running to the metro during a thunder storm - scary!
It was a great day and we will always remember our trip to the zoo!
