My boy....

At our house, the tradition at Easter is doing Resurrection Eggs. Our girls have overwhelmed us with the facts that they know and remember about the Easter story and we give so much of that credit to these eggs. It has been so much fun to watch Silas grasp this knowledge this year. He has been precious about it...from the donkey to the nails he can tell the story. But one fact has gotten a little off for him, on day 2 inside the egg is a very small pewter cup. The teaching on this night is about the Last Supper and the kids learn about the wine representing Jesus' blood and the bread representing Jesus' body. Silas has told us over and over that the cup is Jesus' blood. I thought he was really getting it and was quite boastful about it. During spring break, I was walking the streets of Gatlinburg - Silas was holding my hand and we were chatting and we started talking about the eggs. We talked about the donkey and he told me that Jesus rode it and the people said Hosanna, then we came to the cup. And he said "it's the whoville cup (from Horton hears a Who) and it represents (can't even spell it like he says it) Jesus blood.
So even though he can say all the facts, some are still a little scrambled for him. I can only imagine what his little mind must be thinking...why would Jesus' blood be in the Whoville cups? ''.....
